What is an Energy Efficient Mortgage?
The Energy Efficient Mortgage is a nationwide program developed by HUD to allow loans to add 100% financing of Energy Improvements into the base loan you are qualified for during the purchase or refinancing of a home. The Energy Improvements are installed after the home loan closes in the borrower’s name.
